Moldovan was shot multiple times by a suspect who opened fire when the officer was searching an apartment complex while responding to a report of a vehicle doing doughnuts. Moldovan had just turned 22 and had been with the department for a year and a half.
Following the shooting, he underwent months of treatment and rehabilitation. Last summer, Moldovan was released from a rehab center and returned home.
In Wednesday night's game, the Rangers defeated the Diamondbacks, 5-0, winning the team's first World Series title.
